At the WCG Asian Championship and Singapore Finals Press Conference held at Suntec Conventional Hall on 16^th July 08, we spotted a girl dressed uniquely amidst the crowd. In order to satisfy our curiosity, we decided to approach the girl for a short interview.

Hi, Can you give an introduction on yourself?

Shen Qiaoyun is my real name. I’m more popularly known as Sheylara. I’m a gamer and a blogger and I got invited to this press conference.

Are you currently working /studying?

I’m currently working, as an actress by profession. I play leading and supporting roles in numerous short films and TV dramas since 2004. I’m also a blogger.

What are your future plans, do you intend to continue doing what you are doing now?

I intend to continue doing what I’m doing now, which is acting and blogging. I hope to entertain people with my acting and writing. I’m currently in some talks to produce some films. As to what film, well.. I have to keep it a secret for now.

As we know, WCG is a gaming event. Do you happen to be a gamer too?

Yes, My brother introduced me to gaming. I started from hand-held games such as Nintendo and I used to be a hard-core gamer who sits in front of my computer all the time to play some MMO RPG games. But recently, I’m more of a casual gamer because of my commitments. Now, I enjoy playing games like Rockband on PS3 .

So do you have any plans in taking part in WCG or other gaming events?

Certainly yes! With more family-oriented games targeted at casual gamers, like Guitar Heroes as the official games, I believe more casual gamers like me will be able to participate in them. I’m also learning how to play guitar heroes but I don’t think I will be able to beat the other contestants with my current skills. Maybe with more practice… J

Anyhow, I will be present at the WCG this year for some reason which I’m not going to disclose now. So if you want to know why, be there!

Well, What do you think makes you different from other popular bloggers like xiaxue and dawn ?

Humm.. I’m different because I like to play games. I prefer gadgets on birthdays too! However, we are similar because I too like things that are “girly”, those pinky girls stuff…
